The NYWEA Metropolitan Chapter Board of Directors is petitioning the membership for nominations to the Board. Five (5) members of the Metropolitan Chapter’s Board of Directors will complete their terms this year.
The Met Chapter Board is comprised of a diverse membership. Service on the Board of Directors requires commitment, dedication and willingness to devote time and effort to the organization. Each member contributes to the work of the Chapter through a commitment of time and expertise. In partnership with the individual Committees, the Board helps to focus, direct and extend the Chapter’s work.
Any member of the NYWEA Met Chapter interested in serving on the Board of Directors for the next three years (2019-2021) should submit through this form a brief summary describing their contribution to the water environmental field and their proposed objectives as a nominee. The available positions are as follows:
1. Two (2) members from the general membership. The member can be employed in engineering consulting, municipal engineering, non-profit, or can be an equipment manufacturers representative.
2. One (1) member from a municipal agency or utility actively engaged in the planning, design construction or operation of collection and/or treatment of wastewater.
3. One (1) member actively employed as a water or wastewater equipment manufacturer representative.
4. One (1) member from the general membership to serve as the NY State Board of Directors Representative. This position requires previous experience serving on the Metropolitan Chapter Board of Directors.

Nominations for these positions will be taken from the Metro Chapter Membership until 12:00 noon on November 26th. Ballots will be sent to the general membership by November 30th. Ballots must be received by December 11th at 5pm.
